International Carriage of goods by sea refers to the act that the carrier, according to the contract of carriage of goods by sea, transports the consignor's consigned goods to the port of another country via the sea with the sea vessel as the means of transport and the freight as the reward.
International ocean freight is the most important mode of transportation in international trade, accounting for more than two thirds of the total international trade volume. The vast majority of China's import and export goods are transported by sea.
